About:

A simple 2D sci-fi environment prototype built to explore a procedurally generated cave. Mechanics are based loosely on the arcade classic Robotron 2084. The cave is generated using cellular automata and marching squares based on the algorithm described in the classic Sebastian Lague tutorial.

This demo is a vertical slice to test the procedural cave generation algorithm. Here is a small, hypothetical roadmap/wishlist to expand this demo into a complete game:

  • Implement the Last Human Family in need of rescue
  • Player death + track player lives
  • Create additional enemy classes
  • Evil spider death animation
  • Add additional turret sprite to mech, to track with bullet direction
  • Minimap
